what we believe
1. We are Bible-based.
It's in our name, and is the pillar of our heritage! God's Word, the Bible,
is the standard of all we say and do. 2 Timothy 3:1
2. We believe in one God.
God is eternal, and exists in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit. 1 John 5:7
3. We are Christ-centered.
Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, the image of God, He is God, and
is the only Savior of the world. We can have eternal life because of His
resurrection from the dead. 1 John 5:11-12
4. We believe in eternal life.
The Bible says that if you give your life to Christ and ask Him for
forgiveness of your sins, then you will go to heaven and have eternal life.
By doing this you are making a commitment to live for Christ ( Romans
10:9). Without Jesus as Savior in a person's life a person would live in
hell eternally after physical death.
5. We are pentecostal.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. Acts 2 and
1 Corinthians 13:1-12
6. We value intimacy with God.
The Bible tells us to pray and to enter into close relationship with God.
The Holy Spirit helps us in worship, meditation, and an intimate
relationship with God. Matthew 6:33
7. We believe in sharing our faith.
Jesus' final words to His followers included a commission to, "go and
make disciples of all nations." That call to share about Jesus to the
world begins with our family, friends, and neighbors. Matthew 28:19-
20.
8. We are family.
Open Bible is committed to singleness of vision and purpose. We value
love and unity in the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25
